Very Low-calorie Diet (VLCD)-  

On VLCD, you take a diet of 800 calories and you end up losing 3 to 5 pounds a week. In Very Low-calorie weight loss diet plan your meal gets replaced by few formulas, souls, & Shakes and protein bars instead of regular diet meals; this is to ensure that your body gets all the nutrients that you need in a regular day. This plan is recommended for adults who are obese and are going for weight loss surgery. Many experts do not recommend using this diet plan for more than 12 weeks.

Low-calorie Diet (LCD)- In a Low-calorie Diet, your body is allowed to consume 1000 to 1200 calorie for women and 1200-1600 calorie for men in a day. However, LCD diet is still a better choice than going for VLCD. But, you still need to get supervised by a health provider.  In LCD, you may be asked to replace or manage your regular meal. Perhaps, this makes it a lot, easier than VLCD. The method of LCD can work for people who want to lose weight, quickly but its effect won’t be as fast as VLCD.

Fat Diets

Generally, in fat diets, you are asked to limit your calories to achieve rapid weight loss but as found, in many cases, these diets are not safe to aim for. Once you stop following fat diets, you are at the major urge to regain all the weight. Thus, it is safe for you to choose a diet in which you lose around 2 pounds in a week.
